CGBGs Annual Awards
Each year, the Colorado Green Building Guild presents four prestigious awards for contributions in the advancement of the green building industry.
2024 Annual Award Nominations have closed!
All nominations received will be carefully reviewed by the CGBG Board, and a shortlist of nominees for each category will be compiled.
Kindness starts with recognizing the value in others. That's why nominations are anonymous - because it's not about seeking recognition for ourselves, but about lifting each other up. Remember, self nominations are encouraged too, because it's important to acknowledge our own worth and contributions.
Current CGBG Board Members are not eligible for nomination.
Leadership Initiative Award
Given to a member of the Colorado Green Building Guild who has shown exceptional and noteworthy commitment to advancing the craft of green building and has led or encouraged others to do the same.
Green Champion Award
Given to a non-member who has made a difference to advance the craft of green building in the local and broader community.
Student Project Of The Year
Given to celebrate the best student work in Colorado that champions green building practices.
Colorado Green Building Of The Year
Given to the most innovative, well-designed and beautifully constructed sustainable building created here in Colorado, judged by our esteemed panel of industry experts.
David Johnston Lifetime Achievement
Chosen by the Colorado Green Building Guild board and given to any individual (CGBG member or nonmember) to recognize and honor those who have demonstrated sustained and exemplary dedication, leadership, advocacy, mentorship, and significant or innovative contributions to the advancement of sustainability within the building sector.
